Perspectives

when was the last time you felt that you were right, but was wrong actually?
confused? right, let me rephrase that.

when was the last time, you were wrong, but to you yourself you thought that you were right?

what exactly is right, or wrong?

sometimes, it's intriguing to debate over a topic like this ;
abstract with a little of controversy somewhere.

Us, as humans, ain't perfect by nature and we complain about and grieve on alot of things, consciously or unconsciouly.
Often most of us will perceive it as we're the ones who are right,
and definitely we should defend our stand.
However,
are we really right?

just as comments were made by us on others, oppositions develop their impressions of us, of which is obvious.

We think we're right, oppositions think they are right, so who's the right one after all?
For any widely known or proclaimed issues, it'll be a matter of seconds or minutes to the unveiling of the ones with the right facts, however when faced with moral, ethics and values issues, the job's not that easy.

when faced with these situations, on a personal stand, i feel that 2 groups of people appear.
First are what i call the wise ones.

This group of people possess qualities such as maturity, patience, knowledge and understanding.
Upon confronted by such issues, they will sit down and spend time processing the situation and the information, going through thoughts over and over again. Not only were the oppositions' viewpoints are accepted with grace, thorough reflections were done.
Final agreements were not based on moments of impulse but rather long periods of thoughts and analysis.

The second group of people are known as surface judges. Alright, i know the name doesn't sound nice.
In comparison, this group of people will appear to lack depth of thinking, analysis and tolerance. They will also potray themselves as to being more self-centred.
Why?

Firstly, they are the first one to shoot random and pointless comments when faced with an abstract and controversial case. However, do note that not all who first start commenting falls into the 2nd group. We sometimes find individuals of quick thinking and flexibility presenting in depth analysis in minutes. Again, this doesn't mean that we can assume these scenarios happen often.

The point to note is, reflection and in depth analysis.
It has always not been an easy job to differentiate who's right and who's wrong and the justice behind everything, otherwise, judges will be out of jobs very soon.

Personally, i believe that whenever we comment on a person/event/stuff/situation, we should do a really quick reflection on ourselves.

Have we ever encounter such events before?

Have we ever committed/done such things/actions before?

Do we have the right to comment, i.e are we any better than them?

I am sure none of us want our impressions on others to be foolish and immature. In my case, i am 17 on-going 18, it's no longer play-play or slacking time. It's about time we start behaving like mature young adults.

Given our knowledge and environment today, it's only right that we are even more matured and poised as compared.

Sadly, it seems that this trend in not observable currently.
Studying in a tertiary institutes myself, I sometimes am amused by how my fellow schoolmates presents themselves. I would say some secondary school students are a much more matured group of people. Coupled with the fact that some of the students are actually foreigners, which means they are a year or 2 older than us, their behaviours are sending out signals that they actually need a talk on growing up.

Perhaps and most probably upon stepping into the workforce, they will experience a change and things get better, which definitely is optimistic. However, if such changes are not seen in the future, i can paint a bleak future of our economy and country with 80% confidence.

Definitely it's too early to place a comment like this at this point of time, however, there wasn't a choice given, and that's on a personal stand.

What do you think?

Feel free to mail me.

Cheers(:

P.S : Happy Chinese New Year to all! Have a great celebration(:
