Resolutions

woah, 3 days of '09 are gone.
and for the past few days, i haven't been doing anything.
except for reading(:





im pretty much addicted to Warren Buffett books recently.
seriously i feel those books gave me alot of knowledge on investing and analyzing stocks and companies.

alot people still thinks that playing with shares is actually burning your own fingers.
mind the word, playing.
seriously, up till now, i have not heard any long term value-oriented investors jumping off the building yet. =x

to me, i feel that it's because they haven't notice the difference between speculators and investors, difference between investing and speculating.


it is those momentum investors that aim for short-term earnings and a quick buck that drive this mindset into the society.
In the field of investing, it will be years before you see your results, your earnings.
5-10 years to be short, 10 years and above to be usual.

Patience, analysis and knowledge are the keys to this game.





i am not pretty sure whether am i cut out for this, but no matter what, i aim to be one intelligent and successful investor.

i want to be superrich and successful.



i know it sounds ambitious, but dreams and goals are what drives us on isn't it?
*smiles.





so, i've pretty much come up with new year resolutions for '09.
i know it's kind of late for this, but better than nothing right?
*laughs.






My new year resolutions for '09 :

1. Have more self discipline.

2. Make it an effort to study consistently.

3. At least 2As for prelims.

4. 3 A for A levels (of cause 4 A will be the best)

5. Save up at least 1-2K for this year.

6. Invest in 2-3 shares for this year and more in the coming years.

and last but not least

7. Find myself a gf




that's about it i guess.
i'll give in my very best to be able to put a tick on every single resolution(:
